NICU & Early Intervention

Safety, asymmetry, sensory access and early learning

Chapters

PEDIATRICS UNIT 02 · 3 CHAPTERS
04The NICU: protect state regulation and physiologic stabilityThe NICU is not simply a smaller pediatric gym. Physiologic stability, developmental support and coordinated care determine the order of treatment.05Torticollis and obstetric brachial plexus injuryTwo infants may appear asymmetric, but the examination must identify whether the primary issue is cervical posture, shoulder/arm function, another condition or several factors.06Coordination, autism and sensory participationA child's daily task performance is the priority; diagnostic labels alone do not specify the right PT intervention.

Each chapter is a short public lesson. The more detailed lecture-derived companion notes are being prepared separately.
